With our excellent tutor, we practise Qi Gong exercises. These include breathing and meditation exercises to help to reduce stress; and low-impact physical exercises using the muscles of the whole body to improve core strength, balance and flexibility.
Public Health England’s report “Muscle and bone strengthening and balance activities for general health benefits in adults and older adults” says that strengthening and balance activities not only help prevent falls, but also help improve sleeping patterns and increase energy levels. One of the activities they recommend is Tai Chi.
We meet at Knutsford Sports Club, Mereheath Lane on Thursday afternoons from 3pm to 4pm. No previous experience is necessary and no special equipment is required.
