Members’ Meetings
Meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month, at Knutsford Methodist Church, at the starting time of 2.15pm. Attendance is free for non members of Knutsford u3a.

| October 10th | Helen Naylor | A talk entitled ‘A coffee-fuelled revolution’. This talk links the birth of businesses, charities and some of our great art institutions. She'll also weave in the tale King's Coffeehouse in Knutsford! |
| November 14th | Joanna M Williams | A talk by on “The great Miss Lydia Becker”, Suffragist, Scientist and trailblazer”. Fifty years before women were enfranchised, a legal loophole allowed a thousand women to vote in the General election of 1868. This surprising event occurred due to the feisty and single-minded dedication of Lydia Becker, the acknowledged but unofficial leader of the Women’s suffrage movement in the later 19th century. |
| December 12th | Nicky Patterson | A talk on “Air traffic control” - fasten your seat belts! Nicky has been an Air Traffic Controller for the last 25 years. She works at Manchester Airport providing Tower and Approach radar services to arriving and departing aircraft. Her talk will explain what goes on behind the scenes and how they move over 2.5 million aircraft through UK air space each year! |
Loop System
Just to remind members attending general meetings who are hard of hearing that a loop system is in place at Knutsford Methodist Church. This is activated when the sound system is in use and hearing aids should be switched to the ‘T’ position. Please contact the Technical Team if you experience any problems.
