Cryptic Crossword Group

The Cryptic Crossword Group commences its free Spring Series of meetings on January 28th and warmly welcomes new members. There are two sections: Beginners and Improvers.

BEGINNERS’ TASTER SESSION ON JANUARY 28th

The Spring meetings,which will be friendly and informal,will commence with an introductory one hour Taster Session, 2-3pm. Thereafter fortnightly, 2nd and 4th Tues.

The Taster will interest anyone who wishes to explore moving on from General Knowledge to Cryptics – and learn how to go about solving them!

IMPROVERS’ SECTION

Aimed at those who are already familiar with Cryptics, including Crossword fans of yesteryear looking for a ‘refresher’ course

The agenda is varied,including Setting clues as well as Solving, a monthly inter u3a group Cryptic Quiz and optional Homework. It is friendly and informal and doesn’t take the subject too seriously.

Mental stimulation is guaranteed!

The Improvers Series also starts on January 28th, 11am – 12, thereafter fortnightly 2nd and 4th Tuesdays
