AGM and Members’ meeting – 10th July

Our next Members’ meeting will be on Thursday 10th July at 2:10pm (please note the time) at the Knutsford Methodist Church. Please aim to be seated by 2pm.

We will start with our AGM and this will be followed by Peter Ashburner who will give his talk “Flogit” about his personal experiences in the auctioneering world.

Peter is an expert auctioneer and valuer of a wide range of objects – eg. stamps, furniture, toys, musical instruments, Royal Doulton Stoneware, etc. He has 45 years experience in this field. He was a partner and director at Marshalls in Knutsford until 2019. He is now a consultant with Whittaker and Biggs of Congleton.

Peter has seen the market change over the last few years, with the Internet making an enormous difference. Most items are now sold online but Peter still has two auctions each month with over 1000 items at each auction.
