Hidden Talents – 27th November

Our next ‘Hidden Talents’ presentation will be on Thursday 27th November at 2:15pm at the Knutsford Methodist Church. Please aim to be seated by 2pm.

John Miller will present his talk ‘The Show must go on: Living with live events’.

John Miller was a member of BBC staff for nearly 30 years, the majority of that time in television production. In his previous talks, ‘A Life at the Beeb’ and ‘On the Road with the BBC’, John spoke of his years of producing TV programmes as a BBC network television producer based in Manchester, and his time as the BBCs corporate exhibitions manager, presenting continuous stage shows at indoor and outdoor live events.

Today, after a brief reminder of those first talks, he’s going to tell us about his subsequent freelance years in the production and management of live stages and theatres at major events organised by mainly BBC-related companies.
