Members’ meeting – 12th June

Our next Members’ meeting will be on Thursday 12th June at 2:15pm at the Knutsford Methodist Church. Please aim to be seated by 2pm so that we can make a prompt start at 2:15pm.

Peter Sykes will give his talk “life as a a junior hospital doctor 50 years ago”.

Peter is a retired surgeon and author. He will give a light-hearted talk about his experiences as a resident junior House Officer in a city centre hospital fifty years ago. He later became a consultant surgeon in Manchester and the medical Director of an NHS Trust. He has written a number of novels and short stories based on his medical experiences.

Date for your diary: The July members’ meeting (10th July) is our AGM followed by a talk by Peter Ashburner on the life of an auctioneer.
