Prospective PickleBall Group

PickleBall is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK and numerous u3as have such Groups. The sport is played on a slightly modified badminton court in which two or four players hit a perforated hollow plastic ball with solid paddles over a 0.86m high net until one side is unable to return the ball or commits a rule infraction.

The intention is to play in the hall at the Egerton Football Club on Mereheath Lane which has 3 courts. The games will be on Wed afternoons at a frequency to be decided.

Guy Hill who is an expert in PickleBall has kindly agreed to join the u3a and run the Group with help from others. We intend to run a free demonstration session prior to the start of the Group for you to decide whether the sport is for you

Also there is an opportunity to have a go at the ‘drop in’ Non u3a Social PickleBall group on Tuesdays 10.30 to 11.30 which is held at Everbody Alderley Park and is an open session for beginners, new players & experienced players. There is a small charge and booking is required If you are interested in this new Group please let me Stuart Allen know via
