Summer Outings – a few tickets still available
The u3a Outings Committee can still offer a few places on three different visits. Details are given below.
Places can be reserved for any (or all) of the outings by:
a. Booking Online. This is simple and straightforward by using the On-line Tickets page on our u3a website.
b. Sending a cheque and booking form in the post to the appropriate organiser. Please use separate cheques for each booking.
c. Booking in person at the next Members’ meeting in the Methodist Church on Thursday, 11 July. Please bring a cheque and completed booking form.
Visit to the National Memorial Arboretum
Thursday, 8 August
Coach departs at 09.00 hours from Knutsford Bus Station. Price £23.00
This is the site of National Remembrance near Lichfield. Developed since 2000 it contains over 400 different memorials displayed amongst trees and flowers on the 150 acre site.
The ticket price includes transport, coffee on arrival and a seat on the land train which gives you a 50 minute ride and introduction to the site. Lunch is byo or bring a picnic. We will leave the Arboretum at 3.30pm.

Visit to St Giles Church, Cheadle, Staffs and to Trentham Gardens
Friday 6 September
Coach departs at 09.15 hours from Knutsford Bus Station. Price £25.00
The day will start with a visit to the Gothic Revival Church of St Giles in Cheadle, Staffordshire primarily to view the beautiful decorations by Augustus Pugin. The journey will then continue on to the award-winning Trentham Gardens where you will be free to explore the beautiful gardens, the shopping and garden centres or to enjoy a peaceful walk around the lake. Refreshments are not included.

‘WAR HORSE’ at the Lowry Theatre
Thursday 26 September
Coach departs from Knutsford Bus station promptly at 18.00 hours.
Price of ticket and transport £65.00
There are just a few tickets remaining for this production. They are only available at this price until 31 July, after which the theatre needs payment.
This is the National Theatre’s acclaimed production and the most successful play in their repertoire. The astonishing, life sized, galloping, charging horses are quite unforgettable.
